Since 2021 through its OnePlanet program, Morguard and Earth Rangers have joined forces to spread awareness about the critical importance of preserving our planet's precious ecosystems. Together, we've embarked on numerous initiatives aimed at engaging families and children, making a real and lasting difference.

The partnership kicked-off in the summer of 2021 with the engaging and interactive program called Got Your Ears On?

This initiative aimed to raise awareness among parents and empower children to transform eco-anxiety into eco-action.

Families were encouraged to participate by downloading printable ears, decorating them, and proudly wearing them while sharing a photo with the hashtag #GotYourEarsOn. Alongside this fun contest, the program provided a helpful guide for parents to initiate conversations with their children about environmental issues and inspire them to take meaningful action.

In October 2023 through the Battery Blitz Collection program, Morguard and Earth Rangers successfully diverted a whopping 677 kg of batteries from ending up in landfills. That's equivalent to a staggering 50,000 batteries saved from harming our environment! Bins were placed in 18 shopping centres to collect batteries, and to date still remain in most centres as a convenience collection point for the public.

Kids across Canada joined the Earth Rangers cause by becoming Earth Ranger Members. From participating in environmental activities to learning about wildlife, playing trivia and games, listening to engaging podcasts, and more, members gained a sense of belonging, optimism, and confidence in their ability to protect our planet.

The Be My Hero program empowered kids to become Earth Rangers and safeguard endangered animals and their natural habitats.

Throughout Morguard malls across the country, the Earth Rangers made special appearances, giving families and kids the chance to get up close and personal with our Animal Ambassadors and meet wildlife celebrities!

From eco-friendly challenges to reducing plastic and food waste at home, families actively participated in missions to protect the environment. Together, we've made significant strides toward a greener, cleaner future.
